Kural Graph
===========

The Tamil text of the Tirukkural is ancient and in the public domain. This
project's digital copy starts from:

  tk120404/thirukkural (https://github.com/tk120404/thirukkural)
  Licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

Lines from that dataset have been corrected: see data/clean/tamil-fixes.yaml in
the tirukkural-kb content repository for every change. Only the Tamil lines,
their numbering, chapter names and its romanisation (for search only) are used.
Its commentaries and translations are not included.

The English readings were written for this project by an AI (Anthropic's
Claude), from the Tamil and parimēlaḻagar's commentary.

parimēlaḻagar's commentary is about seven hundred years old. The Tamil shown
here is from Tamil Wikisource
(https://ta.wikisource.org/wiki/திருக்குறள்_பரிமேலழகர்_உரை), whose text is available
under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence. Wiki markup, editors'
word lists and footnote numbers have been removed.

V. V. S. Aiyar's 1916 English translation is taken from the Standard Ebooks
edition (https://standardebooks.org/ebooks/thiruvalluvar/the-kural/v-v-s-aiyar),
which is believed to be in the United States public domain.

The Tamil couplets were also checked against Project Madurai
(https://www.projectmadurai.org/) and a proofread edition on Tamil Wikisource.
Project Madurai's edition is not redistributed here.

This site is a fork of GitaViśva
(https://github.com/HimanshuMohanty-Git24/gitaviswa). Its interface and code,
and the idea of walking from a situation to a feeling to the text, come from

Semantic search runs all-MiniLM-L6-v2 in the browser, in the quantised ONNX
conversion by Xenova (https://huggingface.co/Xenova/all-MiniLM-L6-v2). It is

SIL Open Font License for Inter, Source Serif 4 and Noto Serif Tamil, are in
